August 18 and 19, 2023, will remain historic dates for the Mu’nka Lossi community, marking a prestigious journey that blended diplomacy, culture, and fraternity across the landmarks of the United States.
August 18, 2023: Institutional Immersion in Washington, D.C.
Our delegation began this journey in the heart of the American federal capital with high-level meetings and visits:
Diplomatic Audience: A solemn visit with the Cameroonian Ambassador to Washington, strengthening the sacred bonds between the diaspora and the homeland.
At the Heart of Democracy: An exclusive guided tour of the United States Capitol Building, orchestrated by a U.S. Senator and his staff.
American Symbols: A memorable stop at the White House, the icon of executive power, followed by a visit to the magnificent United States Botanic Garden.
August 19, 2023: Tradition and Discovery in Pennsylvania
Proudly wearing our Mu’nka Lossi caps—elegantly gifted by the President of the 2023 Ka'a Ndeh Mu'nka Organizing Committee, Mrs. Mélodine Tambo—we continued our itinerary:
The Harrisburg State Capitol: A tour of the seat of Pennsylvania’s government, a masterpiece of monumental architecture.
Hershey’s Chocolate World: A fun and delicious immersion in the world’s most famous chocolate destination.
A Royal and Unifying Presence
Throughout this prestigious journey, we had the immense honor of being accompanied by His Majesty Takoukam Jean Raymond, King of the Baméka. His august presence bestowed a sense of nobility and deep tradition upon this excursion, allowing Baméka identity to shine within these world-renowned institutions.
