There are moments when words seem too small to express the greatness of what we have just experienced.

The 8th Annual Convention of Peuh Munka Ntom America, combined with our very first Fundraising Gala, will forever remain a milestone in our history as a powerful testimony of what God accomplishes when His people choose to walk together in unity.

First and foremost, I give all the glory to Almighty God. He is the One who inspired us, strengthened us, lifted us through moments of exhaustion, and guided us to this remarkable victory. Without Him, none of this would have been possible.

I would also like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to the entire Maryland Team.

You worked tirelessly for months to make this first edition a historic success.

Thank you for your unwavering commitment to our weekly meetings.

Thank you for the countless visits you made to our sister-organizations to passionately present our vision of renovating the Djut Bameka Medical Center.

Thank you for putting aside distractions, misunderstandings, criticism, and everything that could have diverted us from our mission.

You chose the common good over personal interests. That maturity became our greatest strength.

Through each of you, I also thank God for inspiring me to place every individual where they could contribute their very best.

I want to express my deepest gratitude.

While we were fully occupied with the final preparations for the Gala, you generously accepted the responsibility of taking care of our guests on my behalf.

You supported me with extraordinary discretion, efficiency, kindness, and dedication.

That is what true leadership looks like—understanding that serving others is sometimes more important than standing in the spotlight.

The entire Maryland Team is deeply grateful to you.

Perhaps without even realizing it, you became the spiritual strength that carried us through moments of doubt, fatigue, frustration, and even discouragement.

It took me several months before appointing the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee.

That decision was neither spontaneous nor emotional.

It was the result of careful reflection.

In an environment as demanding as the DMV, I was looking for a person of strong character.

Someone capable of embracing a vision before it became reality.

Someone willing to carry a collective dream without seeking personal recognition.

The character references I sought revealed in you rare qualities: humility, integrity, loyalty, respect, a passion for excellence, and the remarkable ability to always place the collective interest above personal ambition.

And I was not mistaken.

You were the right choice.

You were the good seed.

Thank you for bringing the Maryland Team together.

Thank you for carrying this vision with such dedication.

Thank you for allowing me to recover a few hours of much-needed sleep.

The outstanding success of this first edition also bears your signature.

You have my deepest gratitude and highest respect.

To Mrs. Anne Tabi,

I also extend my warmest congratulations.

Despite the health challenges you faced throughout the year, you never stopped serving our culture with passion.

Entrusting you with the Cultural Department was based on your profound love for our traditional heritage.

You honored that trust beautifully.

The richness of the cultural themes presented, the quality of the panel discussions, and the revival of our legendary Kouakoua dance, whose traditional materials were officially unveiled during our Cultural Night, will remain among the greatest legacies of this convention.

I am confident that our future gatherings will allow our younger generations to better discover, preserve, and pass on this cultural treasure.

Thank you to our brothers and sisters who traveled from Canada, France, Ireland, and Luxembourg.

Thank you as well to everyone who sincerely wished to attend but could not due to circumstances beyond their control.

Your prayers strengthened and encouraged us.

Your presence honored us greatly.

We also express our profound gratitude to the United States Congress for the prestigious Certificate of Congressional Recognition presented during this historic event.

Receiving this distinction is a tremendous honor for our association and a meaningful recognition of the work accomplished in service to our community.

I sincerely thank the United States Congress for honoring my humble self, our Vice President George Takam, our Secretary General Hortence Takoukam, and our legendary artist Elvis Kemayo.

This recognition belongs to every member of Peuh Munka Ntom America.

It celebrates the dedication of each of you and encourages us to continue serving with even greater humility, integrity, and determination.

We sincerely apologize to anyone who may have felt disappointed, frustrated, or hurt by any shortcomings on our part.

This first edition has provided invaluable lessons.

We will listen.

We will evaluate.

We will improve.

And we will return even stronger.
